Join our clients food production team as a Production Line Picker! We’re looking for someone reliable and detail-oriented to efficiently select and pack food items directly from the production line. This role requires a strong eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while strictly following food safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Picking and Packing:
Select and pack food items as per specifications and quality standards.
Ensure picked items meet quality requirements and are defect-free.
Label and package products accurately and efficiently.
Material Handling:
Load and unload items on the production line.
Arrange materials for easy access during the picking process.
Quality Control:
Perform visual inspections to detect any defects or quality issues.
Report any discrepancies to the Production Supervisor.
Maintenance and Cleanliness:
Keep the work area clean and organized in compliance with food safety standards.
Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.
Documentation:
Record picking data accurately and keep logs updated.
Complete any required paperwork and maintain accurate records.
Skills and Abilities:
Keen attention to detail with a focus on quality.
Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
Basic knowledge of food production standards.
Ability to follow instructions and meet strict safety and quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (either hot or cold).
Additional Requirements:
Willing to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime if needed.
Role is Monday to Friday, with shifts varying between 6:00 am and 9:00 am starts (8-hour shifts).
Valid passport, Right to Work documents, 5-year background references, and a DBS certificate required (company covers DBS cost).
Compliance:
Must adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, including wearing appropriate protective clothing and equipment.
